Shalimar Luis, a fine artist and designer with Puerto Rican and Cuban roots from North Bergen, NJ, holds a BFA in Design from the School of Visual Arts. She has excelled in graphic design, creating award-winning work for notable clients including Apple, National Geographic, and American Express. Shalimar's talents have been recognized with awards from the Webby Awards, W3 Gold Awards, and Adobe.
Her artistic journey includes a residency at the School of Visual Arts Fine Arts Residency program. After over fifteen years in design, Shalimar is shifting to a full-time fine art career and recently opened The Shalimar Luis Design and Art gallery in Hoboken, NJ.
